About the Role

The Senior UX and Product Design Lead will play a pivotal role in creating intuitive, user-centric experiences for TEA applications and websites. This position focuses on improving education technology integration, enabling parents, teachers, schools, and district leaders to prioritize what matters most—their students.

As a key member of the team, you will ensure the successful deployment of technology solutions by maintaining a strong user-centric focus, aligning with industry best practices, and driving collaboration across teams. You will work independently with minimal supervision, leveraging your expertise to deliver impactful design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee UX/UI designs to ensure they align with user experience principles, agency-wide design standards, and industry best practices.
  • Translate user research into actionable insights, including user stories, requirements, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate on the development of the product roadmap to ensure it meets user needs and business goals.
  • Conduct user testing and outreach to validate designs and gather feedback from end users.
  • Partner with product teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to present design solutions and rationales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product designers, developers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior UX Designer or Product Design Lead, preferably in education technology or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Ability to translate complex user needs into intuitive and functional design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong independent judgment and initiative, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
